Another Escape is an independent lifestyle publication that celebrates the stories of passionate people inspired by nature. They partner with the likes of Patagonia and other brands who share their environmental values.

The magazine is published in the UK and distributed to customers and stores globally. Series Eight was approached to redesign and rebuild the current website to better represent the high quality and attention to detail of the company, with a smarter and more intuitive digital experience. In particular, to communicate the essence of the content to potential customers, drive online sales and also to be used as a space to add in more casual and sponsored content.

We kept things clean and calm with a sense of timelessness. Article layouts were unobstructed for increased legibility, with words unfolding as you scroll down the page.
Translating print to digital

We wanted the website to feel cohesive to the beautiful print publication. Nothing beats flicking through the weighty eco-label paper pages of Another Escape; but with screen encompassing photography and a clear editorial style that reflects the product itself, we were able to offer the next best thing.

Keeping the theme

Each biannual volume of of the magazine has its own distinct colour and theme tied to it, which we brought through into the individual volume pages to give a sense of the theme and feeling.

All magazine design and volume colours is created and chosen by agency She Was Only.
